Jessup Osteopathic Clinic
Our Goal is to Reduce Pain & Increase Movement so you can get back to doing the things you LOVE!
In 2017 we celebrate 35 years of Osteopathic Practice. The Practice was originally founded by Melvin Jessup DO FRSPH on his qualification in 1982 and since that time two generations of the Jessup Osteopathic family have been passionately dedicated to giving the very best patient care enabling it to grow and develop to meet the complementary osteopathic health needs of the local community.
We now are delighted to welcome Georgia Simmons who graduated from the European School of Osteopathy with an integrated Masters in Osteopathy to our Clinical team treating Back and Neck Pain. Additionally, many others have other Joint Problems, Postural Concerns, Headaches or Sports injuries. Georgia also has an interest in cranial treatment of paediatrics.
Since 1987 we have been at 93 High Road, a large victorian house where we have a ground floor practice with a comfortable reception area and three treatment rooms.
We specialise in providing a professional, friendly and efficient service, and try to offer an appointment within 24-48 hours of your call if possible.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a system of health care using manual methods of diagnosis and treatment designed to work alongside orthodox medicine with the goal of enabling the individual to achieve an improved state of health
So how can we help you?
Regardless of age or gender, many people will suffer from back, or neck pain, headaches or injuries due to sport or work. Pain or physical limitations lead to physical causes of stress and is one of the most common things that people want to modify in today’s Society.
Your body has a natural mechanism of self healing. We believe in helping you to enhance the ability of the body to self heal.
We constantly re-evaluate your presentation so that treatment that you are given will be totally individual to you as no two treatments can never really be the same because your posture and symptoms are likely to have changed since your last visit.
It is a common false impression that Osteopathy is just a 10 minute “crunch and click” session – in fact you may not get a crunch! or click at all.
The phones are manned during office hours 9 -5pm Monday to Friday. Unfortunately, we not do operate an out of hours emergency appointments and suggest that you contact your General Practitioner.
We operate a system whereby payment follows each session. Fees reimbursed by most private medical insurance companies, please check with your company!
We DO NOT sign you up to a specific number of treatments, therefore you are in total control.
